Pastors Chuck and Joyce Roth

Lead Pastors

Pastors Chuck & Joyce both grew up in rural southern Alberta. The spiritual heritage of their parents was passed down to them and had a significant impact on their lives. Married in 1978, they have 4 married daughters and 7 amazing grandchildren.

After brief stints in trucking, farming, and sales, they entered full-time ministry in 1992 at the Victory Church in Brooks, Alberta; Chuck as Associate Pastor and Joyce as Music Director. Their first Senior Pastorate began in the spring of 1998 at the Victory Church in Claresholm, Alberta. As the congregation grew it became evident that a larger building was needed. In 2003 a building was purchased and remodeled from a bowling alley into the church being used today.

The next step on their journey was as Lead Pastors of the Victory Church in Red Deer. It was in January 2006 they began the process of transforming what has become a vibrant, growing church.

Known for being real, approachable and having a sense of humor, they connect easily with people from all walks of life. Driven by a love for God and people, their passion includes seeing people come to know Jesus and seeing every believer reach their full potential in Christ. You can read Pastor Joyce’s Blog

The ushers and greeters are the first people that anyone sees when they enter a church and I believe that from that very first contact you should be able to feel the heart of the church. I believe that we have the most amazing church in all of Red Deer because we love people and I want that to show.

My desire is to give every person that comes through the church doors a welcoming environment where from their first moment in our church they feel a part of our family. Everyone should feel God’s love in our church; as head of the Connect Team that is my ultimate goal.

March 3, 2020  Luke 19:10 (TPT)

The Son of Man has come to seek out and to give life to those who are lost.”

Jesus Himself speaks these words to Zacchaeus and his family after He sought them out and brought life to their home!! He had just what they needed! Maybe you’re caught up in the treasures and pleasures this world offers and finding no true satisfaction. Do you know He’s seeking you out right now? Calling out to you? His desire is for you to experience real peace and joy in life. Why not make a choice right now to leave behind the enticements of this world and make Jesus your source of joy!

Dear Lord,

Thank You for seeking me out and desiring to give real life to me. Forgive me for getting caught up in the pleasures of this world. Today I choose to make You my source of joy. My source for everything that I need. I know I will find it in You.
